New Cadre members for VKPP Peer Review Team - Information events
The VKPP Peer Review Team is holding two remote information events for prospective candidates to learn more about opportunities to join our Cadre team.
Cadre members are passionate and enthusiastic individuals, who bring their experience of vulnerability to deliver an ethical and well-respected peer review. Together they contribute to the mission of the VKPP, to improve the policing response to protecting vulnerable children, adults and communities.
The cadre are subject matter experts built from policing, partners and voluntary organisations, across the breadth of vulnerabilities who add their professional insight to the findings of the review. Being a member of the cadre affords development opportunities to learn, reflect and improve understanding whilst providing insight into promising practice approaches being adopted elsewhere in the country. Any learning can be disseminated in a member’s own organisation, with prior consent of the host force.
Membership of the cadre is purely on a voluntary basis and whilst there is no remuneration, all expenses are reimbursed. Involvement in the peer review is based on the relevance of the subject matter and availability of the individual.
We are looking for cadre members across children and adult services. Please note that all applications must be supported by the candidate’s line manager.
The events will be held via Teams on
Tuesday 12 September 10:30-11:30
Thursday 21 September 18:00-19:00
The VKPP Peer Review Team will present an overview of the peer review work, followed by some cadre members who will give a short input on their experiences of being a cadre member. There will then be an opportunity for Q&A
If you work in vulnerability with a policing, partner or third sector background and would be interested in attending, please email VKPPpeerreview@norfolk.police.uk for more details and the link to access the meeting.
